Blog launched featuring development news and updates

02/11/2010 Blog launched featuring development news and updates

BioRegional Quintain has launched a blog to update potential purchasers and the wider Teesside community about progress at RiversideOne, its £200m development on Middlesbrough’s former Middlehaven docks site.

With work well underway on the first residential building at RiversideOne, BioRegional Quintain’s managing director, Pete Halsall, has started the blog – www.riverside-one.com/blog - to provide news, images and comment opportunities for anyone interested the development and the new district of the town it will create.

Commenting on the blog, Pete said: “We know that there is a great deal of interest in what is going on at RiversideOne and we believe launching a blog is an ideal way for us to keep people informed about what we are doing and how we are doing it.

“The blog will follow the construction of CIAC whilst also detailing how we’re integrating our environmentally sustainable principles into the development process to provide residents with outstanding apartments in a place which will set international standards.

“It also allows people to become part of a conversation around RiversideOne and Middlehaven and we want to encourage people to ask questions and find out more about what we’re undertaking to deliver a vibrant new district of the town.”

The first blog post covers how the foundations for CIAC where made by using a ‘green’ method of creating the support for the building, referred to as piling, which utilised steel pipes reclaimed from the North Sea oil industry.

Pete continued: “There’s a lot for us to talk about at RiversideOne, ranging from the innovative way we’re building to how we’ll create homes of extremely high quality in a completely regenerated waterside location. The blog is a great platform for us to encourage communication with people interested about what we are doing and what we aim to achieve at Middlehaven.”
